What's New?: Like most of the rest of you, went to college, went to

yada, yada. Survived lung cancer, yes Harriet I have
quit smoking. Never married, no kids, what can it mean?
Actually there is a larger story, but won't bore you
all with the details. Retired at 48. Love my life in
Palm Springs, summers are a bit warm. Please feel free

What's New?: Went to Fresno State for 3 years after high school.
Came home and worked in Menlo Park for a year and then
moved to Washington, D.C. for two years. Came home in
70, married in 73, 1st daughter in 75 (married with
three sons), twin daughters in 78. Divorced. Live in
Saratoga. Volunteered extensively with PTA, Girl
Scouts, San Jose Children's Musical Theatre, swim team,
drill team, Job's Daughters, horse vaulting, etc.
Work part time for breast cancer support non
profit, green R&D electric car company, property
manager, personal assistant to jewelry wholesaler,
bookkeeper for property mgmt company. I love working
different places. Keeps me learning and meeting new
people. Love swimming, boating, hiking, reading,
traveling (traveled to Europe, Hawaii, Shanghai and
Mexico).
Have completed all the PSI Seminar personal
improvement classes. Have walked on hot coals. Do
life coaching (goals) with many friends. Dating a
wonderful man! My two brothers Bob Bolander(1966) and
Rick Bolander (1971) are both in area and have lots of
family activities. My mother is alive and well at 88.
YEAH - life is so wonderful!!!!

What's New?: Was supposed to graduate in '64 at Awalt but dad was
transfered to Westfield, NJ in winter of '63.
Graduated from there but my heart was at Awalt.

Like everyone I went to college, a JC in San Bernadino
in 64-65 then transfered to Cal Poly at Pomona and
graduated with a BS in Horticulture in '68.
My wife also graduated from Cal Poly in 69 and we were
married in June.

We were in the SF bay area for about 7 years with her
as a Lab Technologist at Kaiser-Permanente hospital in
San Jose and I changed occupations 3 times. I went
from commercial rose grower foreman to an apartment
repair person to a general contractor.

In '76 we moved to Lake Tahoe where I built houses and
my wife ran a laboratory there. We lived there for 18
years, in various houses, and in '93 we moved to Reno,
where we are presently.

We have 2 daughters, Andrea(30) an RN in town, and
Amie(27) a paralegal here in town. Andrea married John
Raimo in July of '09 and Amie married Calob Juve in
Sept. of '08. Calob works for Granite Construction in
Reno and John works for an L.A. company overseeing
rehabilitation facilities in Northern California.

Went to a terrific Waterpolo reunion for the '63/'64
champions and had a terrific time and enjoyed seeing
all the maturing classmates. Thanks to Annette Neilsen
for coordinating the reunion. Hope more to occur.

What's New?: I was in the class of '64 but moved to Ladera at the
end of my junior year so I didn't graduate with "my"
class, I spent my senior year at Woodside High School.
I went to College of San Mateo and then transferred to
Biola College in southern California where I got a BA
in Latin American Studies. I got a high lottery number
and so didn't go to Viet Nam like many of my friends.
I met
my wife in Washington State while studying linguistics
at a summer course at the University of Washington, we
were married in 1972 and four "kids", three
grandchildren, and a hundred stories later we're here
on the
third coast, Austin, Texas. I worked for the Texas
Historical Commission for twelve years and my wife and
I both deal part time in antiques and she's an
interior designer as well. I now sell antique books and
paper on eBay and work part-time at Starbucks. Sorry I
missed my senior year at Awalt, it's nice to catch up
with some of you that I remember.

What's New?: After graduation I spent 3 yrs at Chico State, married
Ronnie Ware in 1967 and finished my degree at San Jose
State. Lived in San Jose 10 yrs., then moved to Boise,
ID with HP. We've been married 33 years and had 3 kids-
Debbie, who passed away at 29 from complications of
cystic fibrosis and a lung transplant, son Scott-26-
working at Mircon Electronics, and son James-23-
attending Franciscan University in Ohio. I finished my
masters at Boise State University and have been
teaching 3rd and 4th grade for the last 15 years.
Ronnie is taking early retirement with HP this year so
that will be interesting!!! I love the outdoors-
camping, rafting, gardening...

What's New?: I have been retired for two years and my husband and I
are having the time of our lives! We moved to
Lincoln, California two years ago. Our new home is in
a Del Webb community, "Live On!" is their motto and it
is so true! Lincoln is approx. 30 minutes east of
Sacramento and about 10 minutes from Roseville, CA. I
have two wonderful step-children, Carolyn and Mike.

Both my husband and I are 5-time cancer survivors!
Praise the Lord! That's the best news of all.

I am now a dancer in my old age (not saying a "good"
dancer but a dancer all the same). I take tap and
jazz dancing lessons and appear in shows now and then -
lots of fun. We meet wonderful people up here - very
friendly. My best to you all!

Univ. while in the Air Force reserves.
I'm with the Boeing Company as a former
Instructor Pilot in the C-17 Program at Altus AFB and
Travis AFB. Now I've taken a Boeing assignment to
Germany and England until 2011...

What's New?: Graduated! College too. I think I don't want to list
my accomplishments; not out to impress anyone!! I am
who I am and that is as good as it gets! Writer,
Published, The Few, The Proud, the Native Californian!
Orgnized the Senior Prank (that was as good as it gets
too!!!!) Made forever friends since age 8, and in HS,
that's as good as it gets too! Two kids, Jodi RN,
Mark, Hotshot Crew Chief, USFS, I remember Alan
Ratzburg, the crack up of Gary Sheerer too smart to do
homework, the class clown and as smart as they get. I
remember, the politics by the faculty of two schools
joing together and MVHS class of 1962 "borrowing our
school" so we could watch the fights at brunch in the
commons. I remember the day Kennedy died, right before
lunch, in Spanish Class, I remember them excusing the
school and those of us without cars, walking that long
way home, when Permanente Big Wheelers roared down
Grant Road, in shock. I remember this generation that
changed a nation, mostly for the better and those who
sold out. I remmeber Viet Nam, losing my best friend,
and have his DFC, SS, BSM, AM and the ever lovin'
Purple Heart. I remember a Nation of change, big
change and here we are today. Seems like a rerun. I
remember passionatly getting the votes for my
neighbor, Nancy Tasista, and friend. I remember the US
OLYMPIC TEAM all out of our swimming pool, and I
remember Steve Weiss, the nicest guy in the world, the
laugher that came from Gary Greeney, the sadness that
came about Lorraine Lawton and Jeanne Demassa. I
remember graduation and us running out to change a
world. We did. We are those people that watched or
participated from the corner of Haight and Ashbury as
a world of peaceful kids, stabbed the establishment
and never looked back. It was the best time, it was
the worst time but it was in the end OUR TIME.

Hope all of you are good, and that we all now truly
GET IT. Hi Alan, Janet, Kristen, Nancy, Gail, Sue, and
the ever funny Gary Sheerer,Janet, Tom, Gary Greeney,
and Nancy
and Gail Tasista. And Hey Jim, how's it going?!

What's New?: I guess it has been a while since I updated this
profile.

After I returned from Afghanistan in 2005, I went to
work for DRS in Sterling, Virginia and stayed there
until 2008. I commuted home to Indiana about every 6
weeks or so.

Did a second assignment in Afghanistan from 2008 -
2009, and I am now on assignment on Masirah Island,
Oman, and have been here for about a year.

Melinda and I still live in Bloomington, Indiana, and
our Daughters Alison and Erin, Live in Chicago and
Austin respectivly.

Alison is a Professor of Anatomy at the U of Ill
College of Dentistry, and Erin is a contract
archaeologist working out of Austin.

Alison has been married for 6 years and her Husband
works for Sears Corporate. Erin will be getting
married in November and I will be home for the
wedding.

Hoping to retire in the next couple of years.

school in San Diego; Human Resource Assistant at a local hospital

What's New?: Went to college at Middlebury, Vermont and law school
at U.C. Davis. Served as a lawyer in the Army for
seven years, then as staff for a couple of County
Supervisors and two state Senators. Now retired in
Sacramento and doing volunteer work for various
organizations. I noted that someone mentioned Mrs.
Knutson as her favorite teacher. She was one of mine
too, but I can't answer the question as to her
whereabouts. For those who took French, Mrs. Wozniak
was great too. Mrs. Eason was another good English
teacher and Mr. Madgic in history; we had a very fine
faculty.

What's New?: After Awalt I attended Foothill College for a couple
of quarters, then went on a two year mission for the
Mormon Church (Western States; Colorado, Wyoming,
Kansas and New Mexico). When I returned I again went
to Foothill and work in Palo Alto as a Jr Draftsman.
While a Foothill I made friends with a fellow who was
a former Menlo Park Police Officer and work as an
Officer at San Jose Airport. I went for a ride-along
with him and loved the work!! This turned me on to
Police Work. I work for 32 years for the City of Palo
Alto as a Public Safety Dispatcher and Chief
Dispatcher before I retiered in 2005. I also donated
time as a Reserve Police Officer for 10 years.

My wife and I have one daughter who is married, no
grandchildren yet. We now live in a small town in
Northwest Missouri, on a 40 acre farm.... Life in a
small town is very different, a much slower pace of
life!!

What's New?: In 1993 we moved to Coupeville on Whidbey Island,
Washington. I retired from teaching Seminole patchwork
workshops, my occupation for over 20 years, and my books
on the subject are out of print. Our daughter is a fashion
stylist in NYC and lives a life as eventful as ours is quiet. We
are involved with several local environmental groups, and I
still love biology (thank you, Mr. Heusser!) and natural
history. I am in touch regularly with Karen Miller, Barb Blais
and Bonnie Benson, and occasionally with Sherril Noe. My
parents are still in the house near the high school, and my
brothers and sister all live in the Bay Area. Life is good!

Montreal Quebec Canada, went to Elms College in
Chicopee MA, she is a Medico-Legal Death Investigator
in Cleveland; I'm still working because its
interesting (and fun), and we're waiting for the stock
market to become more "user friendly" again...

What's New?: USAF six days out of Awalt. Became a civilian again
13 years later and began wandering around the
northwest. Stayed in aviation most of the time and am
currently Director of Aircraft Maintenance for a major
media company. Married for 19 years to my present
wife. Between the 2 of us we have 7 children,17 grand
kids and 3 great grand kids. Hope there will be
another reunion I can attend befor old age really
catches up to me. Nice to see so many of you on the

What's New?: After graduating from San Francisco State and a stint
flying jets in the Navy, I worked at various high tech
jobs including HP (7 yrs) then left to form a venture

What's New?: Greetings Dear Classmates! My VERY BEST wishes to
everyone... WOW, it is amazing how fast the time has
passed!

Well, I have two fantastic sons! My oldest is a sr.
mechanical design engineer who put himself through
school, working F/T. He is married and has a lovely
home nearby. My younger son is also working F/T and
putting himself through school. He managed his AA with
a 3.85 GPA. He is planning on getting married next
year. I truly enjoy sharing in their lives.

I've been a widow for 3 1/2 yrs., having lost my
husband to cancer. He was a true love and
inspiration, and made me promise to get on with my
life. I've kept that promise. For the past 20 yrs. I
worked at a Fujitsu company and was a Facilities
Manager but was laid-off due to new acquisition/
downsizing. I traveled a bit, but have remained a
local in the Santa Clara area for 44 yrs. Now I'm in a
different role--Administrator for the Director of
Employment Law, Litigation & Environmental Law at
Spansion (a Fujitsu/AMD company).

My joys of volunteering for Scouts, local parish, and
22 active years as an Instructor/EMT/Disaster
volunteer at Red Cross has been truly rewarding. I'm
starting to slow it down now and and enjoy a more
leisurely pace.

My best wishes and blessings to everyone for a
wonderful journey ahead.

Never been happier in my life, should you be
visiting the Keys, please give me a call.
Graduated from Humboldt State, Met Marta and married
her in 1975. Out life has revolved around auto
racing, boating, and flying ever since.

Moved to North Carolina in 1989 to persue an
opportunity in NASCAR Racing,formed a company that
works with NASCAR Winston Cup Teams; BUSCH
Teams,and Hooters Cup Teams in the area Suspension and
chassis engineering, Testing, and design.

In 2005, We semi retired, bought a boat, packed
everything on board, and cruised down the Intercoastal
to Key West,FL. Still active with the Racing
Engineering and still traveling for design and
testing. I'm a licensed captian, a bartender at
The Rum Bar at the Speakeasy Inn on Duval Street, and
spend a lot of time cruising the beautiful waters of
the Keys. Very fortunate to have
been able to see much of the Caribbean and Eastern
Mexico and it will hard to pry me out of here.

What's New?: It is hard to believe that our class held it's
graduation 41 years ago. My family moved to
Connecticut after graduation so I have not been back
to the Awalt campus since I graduated, and imagine it
has changed a lot. In the 60's there were actually
some orange groves bordering the back end of the
school. I'm sure there are no groves left. I am now
retired from a carreer in broadcasting, but still own
a Mini Storage business in the Eureka, CA area. The
last I saw of my classmates was at the 20th H.S.
Reunion in Sunnyvale. I hope to attend one or more of
the all class reunions as we near our 50th in 2014.

Communications, SJSU; employed by HP for 18
years as a writer/editor until the economy soured.
Married Joel Avey right after college. We lived in
Los Gatos for many years before making our our home in
Groveland, near Yosemite. Now I'm a writer; my work
recently appeared on the AARP website and in a Sonora
Writers' Group anthology, Second Saturday.

Daughter April lives on Bainbridge Island, WA with her
husband Jeff and our grandchildren, 6-year-old Audrey
and 4-year-old Tristan. April is in arts marketing.
Son Devin and his wife Victoria live in Soquel. Devin
teaches 6th grade, coaches surfing and plays guitar
with a local Irish pub band, the Wild Rovers.

I'm active in church (singing, deacon ministry)and
enjoy yoga and flying trips in our Cessna 206 with
Joel. I've stayed in touch with Diane Shizuru, Sue
Becker, Judy Hirscher and Sharon Dudley.

Very fun to find this website! My mom just passed
away so I'm getting ready to sell the house in
Mountain View.

What's New?: Former Senior Civil and Traffic Engineer for the City
of San Jose, (retired after 30 years in Jan. 2002.)
Now operating family business in Mt. View. Two grown
sons; married to Ruth, another former City employee.
Currently live in Prunedale (half way between Gilroy
and Salinas). Enjoy sailing, skindiving/spearfishing,
travel, cooking, astronomy, target shooting,

What's New?: Attended Foothill and SJS for a degree in Civil
Engineering, then worked odd jobs and traveled for a
couple of years. Worked 2 years for Palo Alto and 30
years for San Jose doing civil and traffic
engineering. Currently own and operate a mobile home
park in Mt. View.

I'm on my second marriage with two unmarried sons, one
lives in San Jose and the other in Minneapolis. We
live in Prunedale (halfway between Gilroy and Salinas)
and enjoy the Monterey area, despite my commute. We
also enjoy family events, reading, gardening, small
boat cuising, winemaker dinners and politics. I enjoy
collecting and shooting old firearms and dabbling in
astronomy. Once I lose that last 25 lbs I'll take up
skindiving again!

What's New?: Aloha from Maui!
Since marrying Bob Shaw (Class of 67)in 1992, we've
lived on Maui. I work for an advertising agency that
handles small hotels and resorts, some retail stores
and visitor activities (UFO Parasailing). We've been
very blessed to have bought a home here, and have
recently bought a lot on the Island of Moloka'i where
we're planning on building our retirement home. It'
hard to believe the "R" word has now entered our
vocabulary, it seems like yesterday we were in our
20's. Now we have 3 grandchildren, Madeleine
MacWilliamson, Jack Murphy, and born on October 19th
Madelyn Murphy.

What's New?: Can you believe we're all out of H.S. over 40 years? It seems
to have gone by very quickly. I'm married to Howard over 25
years, and we are both retired now. We spend time in Palo Alto
and Capitola, CA and keep busy with our kids, Anna (24) and Dan

What's New?: Worked in the Dealership Auto industry fo 30 or more
years. Now I work for Hitachi, formerly IBM in San
Jose.
My son Jesse has recently moved to Georgia.
My son Keith is retired from professional soccer and is
doing IT work for a large law firm in Palo Alto.
My daughter Alyson, has graduated from San Jose State
on a soccer scholarship. And is looking to get into
Para Legal work for a firm she works for in San
Francisco.
She is on a Cheerios box, and her soccer team was
inducted into the San Jose Sports Hall of fame the
same evening a Bill Walsh.

What's New?: I went to Foothill for 2 years. Graduated from the
California Maritime Academy in 1969 and have gone to

Went to DeAnza and Foothill and worked HP, Raychem and

Bay for 32 years. Retired 2004.
Been blessed with three children

and Jamie. Still involved in sports.
My son and I played in the U.S.
Father-Son World Series in
Phoenix, Az. We won the
championship 2000 and 2001. That
was real special to me. Not to
many fathers get to play with their
sons
on the same field. Billy graduate
from SFSU and played baseball. My
daughter Jennifer graduate from
A.S.U. Jamie graduate from Utah
Valley University. Jamie had full
paid scholarship for softball. She
made All Division 1 team her
freshmen year. Myself, I am
coaching and enjoying it (For love
of
the game). Life has been great.

What's New?: Graduated from Santa Clara University in 1968. Married To Robin Titus
(class of 65) for 11 years, remarried in 1982 and have four great
daughters and one fantastic grandson! Worked 23 yrs for one electronics
firm and the last 8 yrs for a semiconductor manufacturers rep. Thinking
about retirement but still love high tech industry. Live only one mile from

What's New?: Worked for HP for 38 years, retired in 2004. Have 17
beautiful grandchildren. Absolutly LOVE/HATE golf. My
youngest son and I played in the annual Father & Son
international golf tournament at St. Andrews in 2008,
finishing 4th place overall, winning the final round
on the Olde Course. A longstanding dream come true
just to set foot on the olde sod and swilken bridge.
Love living in Rocklin...but getting pretty frustrated
with California....any suggestions??
