It was so nice to see everybody at our last reunion, and now we're
about to do it again. I love that I am in touch with so many of my
classmates. Facebook has helped a lot. I'm looking forward to the 2012
reunion.
We still plug away at our company, manufacturing electronic equipment
to help firefighters find each other in emergencies inside a fire scene.
It's gratifying work, and we feel fortunate to be part of something we
really care about. It is September 11, 2011 and I find myself thinking
about firefighters more than ever today.
We've traveled a lot over the past several years, throughout the US and
to parts of Europe. We've been down to Florida for the Red Sox training
camp a couple of times, and are going to try and make that a regular
occurrence. The ballpark is small, the people are crazy, and we enjoy
ourselves so much. It's also a wonderful time to be leaving New
England for someplace warm!
I was really saddened to hear of Doug Samiet's recent passing. I
remember him as being someone who was kind to everyone. I know
that he is missed a lot, and by many. God rest his soul.
Our kids are settled into their own lives, Katherine and Stewart
(and two wild-women granddaughters) in Los Altos Hills, Zach and Jodi
in Massachusetts, and Steph in New Hampshire with Greg and the
amazing Howie. And that's a lucky thing. Two out of three
so close is a lucky break.
