O.K., so I didn't really attend Awalt - but most of my
friends who I made after moving to California in my
junior year did. I actually graduated from (position
your vomit bag now) Gunn H.S. in Palo Alto. The first
person from Awalt I made friends with was Kevin
Crider. His band played during lunch at Gunn in 1980
and I met him that summer and asked him to show me
some things on guitar. I ended up helping haul his
bands' equiptment around for several years after that
and met and partied with a lot of cool Awalt folks
along the way.
I spent my post High School years working as a
machinist then finally joined the Air Force in 1990. I
was an aviation electronics tech till '94 then I
became a Loadmaster flying crewmember on C-5 cargo
planes based at Dover AFB, DE. I separated from
the Air Force in 2000 and moved to San Francisco. I
still love going to concerts and blues
joints and my passion is jogging on the beach. After
9/11, I joined the Air National Guard (at Moffett
Field!) 129th Security Forces. I deployed to
Afghanistan for 6 months in 2005. I still spend hours
trying to play the same CCR songs on guitar - I never
get better. In recent years, I have used my leave time
to follow the Rolling Stones, John Fogerty, and Deep
Purple on several of their concert tour stops.
