In 1993 we moved to Coupeville on Whidbey Island,
Washington. I retired from teaching Seminole patchwork
workshops, my occupation for over 20 years, and my books
on the subject are out of print. Our daughter is a fashion
stylist in NYC and lives a life as eventful as ours is quiet. We
are involved with several local environmental groups, and I
still love biology (thank you, Mr. Heusser!) and natural
history. I am in touch regularly with Karen Miller, Barb Blais
and Bonnie Benson, and occasionally with Sherril Noe. My
parents are still in the house near the high school, and my
brothers and sister all live in the Bay Area. Life is good!
