Like everyone else, a long story by now ... highlights
would rougly be: after graduation, some college, some
wandering around the continent, more college (UC Santa
Cruz Environmental Studies), some Japan time
(environmental ed. stuff), marriage in 1990 to Mayumi,
grad school (UC Berkeley Geography), escape from grad
school after the Master's, Russia/Ukraine time (grad.
research, consulting, digging into pre-Revolution
family roots), fatherhood (daughter Kitrea Mai, now
starting fourth grade), now work at Habitat
Conservation Unit for CA Dep't Fish and Game
(primarily conservation planning and stream/river
stuff) since '99, living in El Sobrante (eastbay).
