Whew, time flies. After Awalt, Cal as a Mechanical
Engineer, then a two year stint in the Army followed
by two years at Stanford for graduate degrees.
Married to Laurel (Cal 1971), with two children:
Rachel (Stanford '97) now a VP and Asst Gen Counsel at
JP Morgan Chase in NY, and Jeremy (GW '98) with HITT
Construction in Virginia. And grandson Carter Nelson
(5 years old). Getting closer to retirement after a
long carreer with the US Public Health Service. Get
back to California twice a year to visit my mother who
moved from Los Altos to Carmel Valley and who is now
93 and still going strong, "she will outlive us all."
