Updated 26-Nov-2008. Lets see, after years of working in the silicon valley, I decided to pursue my dream of working in films, so i moved to Los Angeles, bought 2 houses (live in 1 rent the other) and went to work in the film industry. It was a rocky start, but now I am loving it. I am working for the acacemy award winning Captive Audience Productions in Burbank, doing behind the scenes photography and video, as well as still doing independent work. I just finished directing my first short in Los Angeles, entitled "the Extras" about a couple of film extras who meet on a film set. The Seasoned Professional, who has all the "expert" advice to bestow upon the Fresh off the Bus Midwestern kid, who arrives with wide eyes and lots of dreams.

Updated 10-Nov-2008. Hey all, it was nice to read what you're all up to. I've been living in Mountain View and Sunnyvale since graduating from California College of Arts with a BFA in graphic design. Since then I've been doing design and art directing at design agencies, Sun Microsystems, a magazine and now self-employed in my home office for the last 10 years. Happily married for 20 years (!), Rob and I have 2 kids and spend most of our free time with family and friends. Adam is 16 and Zoe is 9. The two are amazing athletes, musicians and artists, and lots of fun to be around! Of all my activities from my younger days, I still love the martial arts and it's the one I've kept up as a lifestyle--and I get to bond with my kids who kick-it with me. :)

Updated 8-Nov-2008. Well, we didn't make the retirement thing happen last year, but we are bound and determined to make it happen next year. We moved onto the boat two years ago, sold the house, and I LOVE not owning real estate. I know that sounds nuts, but to each her own. I am working in Las Vegas this year -- again. I have worked in this town off and on for the last twenty years. I am in construction, and this is where the work is. My resignation date is set for next August. We should pull out of the slip by mid-September.

Updated 6-Nov-2008. Lisa just won re-election to her third term in the Maine legislature. Which means she just finished four months of going door to door most days and talking to people. We both continue happy and healthy. I go to the gym now and I'm in pretty good shape for an old man. All the kids are grown and out of the house and I don't like it .. so I call the youngest about three times a week to chat. Still working at the health center seeing folks and occasionally delivering a baby. Excited by the election results and hopeful for our country's future for the first time in a while.

Updated 24-Oct-2008. I retired in 2004 after 32 years teaching in the Santee School District. I taught 8th grade English and U.S. History for over twenty years before moving on to a vice principalship in 1995. In 1998 I made the decision that I wanted to retire sometime between 2003 and 2005 and that I wanted to spend my last years in education in the classroom with students rather than be in the office handling discipline and suspensions. From 1998 until retirement I taught 4th, 5th and 6th grades. Now that I am retired I am spending my time traveling, reading, and watching the Padres and the Chargers!
