boy does time fly I reached the big 40 (ouch)
I have an optical store although I dont wear glasses
its nice to help people out. I'm still not married
it came close a couple of times though. I still play
guitar...built a sound studio in my house and recording
music with my band and working on projects on my

- Elaine married Jon Harkins of Phoenix, AZ in 1980.
They lived most of their married life in Arizona
raising champion chow-chows and exotic birds. They
relocated to San Bruno, April 1996, and Elaine began
work at the Stanford Park Hotel where she was regarded
as a model employee. Elaine was killed Dec 11, 1997 in
a traffic accident in San Bruno. A memorial fund has
been established at the San Bruno Bank of America.

- Hi everyone. Never checked this site out and I should
have a long time ago. I am living and working in San
Jose. Married almost 21 years now with two sons. Oldest
son is a sophomore at SCU and youngest is in 5th grade.
I am principal at LeyVa Middle School in Evergreen
School District. It's burn out but I love the kids.
Hope everyone is doing well. Have lots of great
memories of all of you.

- Where do I start?
'79 to '88 is pretty hazy, but I survived College,
held down a number of jobs, and started getting
serious about a career in '91 (Computer Science).
Met the lady who would be my wife (Poppy) in '96 when
we both worked and Netscape. Got married in '98 and
had our first child (Cassia) in 2001, and we are
going to have our second child on 12/29/03 (in three
days - Think I'm excited!). I currently work as a
System/ Network Administrator and live in Santa Clara
where Poppy and I have a home. I would love to hear
from any of my old schoolmates.
Wow! 4 years have come and past since my last entry. It
is Sept. 10 2007 and time continues at the speed of
life. I'm currently a Director of IT at a church in MV
called ALCF (www.alcf.net), my children are now 6
(Cassia) and almost 4(Brayden), and Poppy and I have
just celebrated our 9th anniversary. I feel fortunate
to have had a chance to talk, email and correspond with
some of my old classmates. In retrospect, I have to
agree with the saying, "We as human beings are
fashioned by our relationships, those we keep and those
we let go."
Wow, this is so un-facebook (kind of refreshing). It's
been two years since I'm been here, in that time I've
lost (walked away) from my last job, almost lost our
house but by the grace of God we still have our house.
I started my own businesses (KLH Marketing, KLH
Technologies, and KLH Publishing) right when the
economic down turn happened (I always had good timing
LOL). After two years, much study, hardwork and soul
searching, everything is starting to turn around and
I've gained a peace of mind that I didn't even know I
wanted. I turn 48 in two days and I feel like the best
gift I've ever been given is my family, and friends.

- Hi Everyone - Well I finally moved out of the area. I
now live in Antioch, CA but I still work in the
Sunnvyale. Still married it is now 25 years. I have a
23 year old daughter who is working to be a financial
planner. I have a 20 year old son, who I hope will go
into the baseball draft next year. Life is good.

- Just remarried to a wonderful man named James. We
have known each other for over two years and finally
decided to make it official this past June. He has 3
children to go along with my two. He works in the
prosthetic and orthotics field and I am still in
banking. We are enjoying building our new life
together and plan on having many happy years together.

- After MVHS, David worked for HP Palo Alto with
education and career ambitions in the emerging
technology of computers. David remaind very close
to his family and was well liked by his many friends,
old and new. David's bright and charming demeanor,
sincere and compassionate nature, sense of humor, and
good looks would have taken far. In June 1982, just a
month after his 21st birthday, he died instantly in a
foggy head-on collision driving his beloved 280Z to the
coast for an early morning fishing rendezvous, a
favorite activity. David is fondly remembered by all
that new him.

- Yike. It's been a few years since my 2003 update.
I've been home in CA for ~5 years and have lived in
Redwood City for the last two. I ended up finally
getting into "hi tech" through the kitchen, believe it
or not. I worked at Google for 4 years (sorry, just as
a contractor...) ending up running the pastry program
for a very high profile cafe on the main campus in MV.
It was a grand time while it lasted.
Lately, I'm amongst the many on-the-hunt. Not sure
what I'll do "this" time (head back to a kitchen or
return to an office). Interesting to see what the next
chapter of my work-life holds...
Glad for this website - I keep forgetting about it.
Quite a few new entries since my last visit.
I check my email often and would like to hear from
friends. (Say something about MVHS in the subject line?

- Hi gang! I just found this site and it was nice to
read everyone's updates. I live in the Sacramento area
and have been married 21 years. My husband works for
the State. Our oldest son is a freshman in college and
also ran cross-country in high school just like my
husband and me, although he broke a 5-minute mile and
I certainly never did! Our younger son is a junior in
high school and put down his three instruments to be
in theater, which has proved to be a great choice for
him. I work part-time as a registered nurse and
hobbies include camping, sports, baking, and working
with the junior highers at church. I still have so
many fond memories of high school and think of and
pray for many of you often!

- How's it going?…Hopefully, everyone from the class of
'79 is doing well…I'm still crazy as ever, but
settled down some…Not completely, though!…Like to
spend my free time running, going on dates with my
wife, doing stuff with the kids when possible, reading
fiction and science books - hey...once a
dork, always a dork ;)...My wife, June, and I have
been together over 20 years, just celebrated 15th
anniversary…Two step-daughters: Kristi graduated from
KU, has her own biz, married a doctor and will have a
baby in Oct...Kimber just graduated from State…They're
both gorgeous…and funny, too!…Wife and I are looking
forward to our granddaughter in Oct...get to do the
Disneyland, zoo, ballgame thing all over
again...Cool!...We found our cat, Popeye, on a
boat...Still love rock music, old and new - White
Stripes rock!…Went to Cal and SJSU…Working as a senior
planner at Fujitsu in charge of coordinating supply
and demand between affiliates and customers all over
the Americas and Asia…Bought a place in Sac this year
and have been telecommuting for about three years
now...nice to hang with my wife and cat while
working...…That's it for now…Peace!

A line from one of your favorite songs goes "All we are
is dust in the wind." And a line from one of mine goes
"I know you're out there somewhere." Back in jr. high
I thought you were so beautiful, but out of reach.
Somewhere along the way, you made me realize that
there was so much more beneath the surface. Thanks,
Elaine, for the wonderful memories. I still think
about those times. Grad Night at Disneyland was a
dream come true. Best part was when you surprised me
early on at the Carnation Ice Cream place on Main
Street. Leave it to you to take a nice night and turn
it into an unforgettable one. What a blast! Can't
believe it's been 30 years since we rode Space
Mountain, etc. and shared some laughs on that warm
June night. I'm blessed to have known you and I will
never forget you. You always were and always will be a
beautiful ray of sun light. You will always have a
special place in my heart.

- Hey Ya'll, decided to punch out of California in 2007.
My wife and I moved out here to Atlanta and we like it
very much so far,though there is much that I miss
about California. We have one son who is 18, Senior in
High School.
Went to Foothill, then Chico State. Got accepted to
Marine Corps Officer Candidate School in Jan 1985. Was
in the Corps for about six years, got out as a
Captain. Was over in Desert Storm back in 90-91. After
all that have worked in the business world in various
roles.
Working for Terminix now(the pest and termite company)
in a process improvement role. It's all good and I
feel very blessed with my life.
I'd love to hear from you guys, if anyone wants to
reconnect. Sorry I didn't update this site sooner.

- After High School, Maggie married and had two children.
She lived a short time in Modesto and then Mtn. View.
She worked in the electronics industry. Maggie,
unfortunately, was the victim of domestic violence and
was killed in 1988. Her family and friends miss her
and will never forget the kind person she was. If
alive, Maggie would be the proud grandma of 2.
